If you’ve been to Venice Beach before, you may have noticed this giant art installation right by the water. Hundreds of people walk by it daily, but few people know what this art instillation means. The Venice “V” was originally put up as a temporary art instillation in 2001 to honor the victims of 9/11. However, sixteen years later, the “V” is still up in Venice for people to enjoy.
To see the Venice “V” go to the intersection of Market St. and Ocean Front Walk then walk towards the ocean. It is right off the Venice Boardwalk, which is a fun place to spend a day. There’s shopping, fun places to eat, and great people watching all right next to the beach.
