Blockheads Shavery specializes in what they call “snow cream.” Snow Cream is ice cream shaved to have a similar texture as shaved ice. Located in West LA, Blockheads is dedicated to always using fresh and natural ingredients in their snow cream. I’d recommend parking in the surrounding neighborhood for free.
Blockheads Shavery offers more traditional flavors of ice cream, like strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, but they also have Asian-inspired flavors like Matcha, Black Sesame, and Milk. Once you pick your base flavor, you can pick a topping (candy, mochi, boba, etc.) and a drizzle (chocolate syrup condensed milk, etc.). Or you can also choose one of their pre-made flavor combinations if you’re not feeling creative.
Even the smallest size is really big, so it’s not a bad idea to plan on sharing with a friend.
I’ve been a few times, and so far my favorite combination is Original Milk with toffee crunch and a chocolate sauce drizzle!
