If you’re looking for a fancy night-out in L.A., look no further than the Pantages Theatre. Located right on Hollywood Blvd., the Pantages puts on Broadway-level productions. Over the years, I have seen Wicked, The Lion King, Newsies, Phantom of the Opera, and, most recently, Book of Mormon. Every production is amazing!
The theatre itself is beautiful! Designed in an extravagant, art-deco style, it harkens back to the early days of Hollywood. The Pantages Theatre was built in 1930, and that might explain the limited number of bathrooms. There are two levels of seating and about 2700 seats, but there are only two male bathrooms and two female bathrooms (one per level). Each bathroom only has about a dozen stalls so the women’s line gets really long during intermission. I would suggest jumping up right during intermission and going to the bathroom first or else you might run the risk of missing the beginning of the second act.
I have loved every production I have seen at the Pantages Theatre and I am so excited for the next show I have tickets for; Hamilton! What shows have you seen? What shows do you still want to see?
