The Palladium is a really cool venue on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. It was built in 1940 in the Streamline Modern, Art Deco style and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. The Palladium can fit nearly 4,000 people but the catch is, there are not seats in the Palladium!
It has a dance floor area and a mezzanine, but the entire theater is standing room only. So as much as you might want to wear your cute new heels to see a concert, I recommend going with comfortable shoes for this venue! If you’re okay with missing out on the dance floor, I’d recommend bee-lining to the mezzanine to grab a spot at the edge of the balcony, where they have railings you can lean on if you get tired.
In 2017 I saw Milky Chance perform at the Palladium and it really is a great venue to see a show! The theater is beautiful and retro, and everyone standing and dancing around the entire time contributes to the energy of the performance. I can’t wait until I get to see another show here!
