Los Angeles has a lot of great Farmers Markets, but one of my favorites is the one right outside of City Hall in downtown LA. One of my favorite things about this farmers market is that you can see City Hall while you shop and eat!
Every Thursday from 10am-2pm, vendors set up shop across Main Street from City Hall. There is a variety of fruits, vegetables, sweet treats, and ready to eat lunches! The farmers market is heavily trafficked by the business professionals coming from City Hall and the neighboring Courthouse, so don’t be surprised if you see people in suits.
Parking in downtown is sparse, so I’d recommend parking in the Los Angeles Mall parking garage or one of the lot at the corner of Arcadia and Main St.
I’ve gotten lunch here a couple of times, and my favorite thing by far is the tamales from the Tamale Fiesta! I like the pork tamale with green salsa! I also am a fan of the aqua frescos at Ara’s Pupusas.
Whatever you decide to get, it’s always a great to have a delicious meal and support a local business!
